A) Food should be eaten in as natural and unprocessed state as possible.

B) 25%-50% of your diet should be in the form of raw fruits & vegetables, with 3 times as many vegetables as fruits.

C) 25%-50% of diet, depending on your metabolic type, should be whole grains (starches). They should be in the unrefined state, meaning whole grains, brown rice, whole wheat, spelt.

D) Protein should be eaten in correct form and proper amounts. For example: protein foods should be complete in amino acid compliments (fish, poultry, meat) must be combined with other foods to balance out the lacking essential amino acids parentheses eat rice and beans, but tofu with wheat and sesame, etc )

E) Fats and oils should comprise 10 to 15% of the diet from unrefined, unheated sauces, if possible. A porterhouse steak is a 40 % fat and less than 20 percent protein, with no fiber (it is not considered healthy food).

F) Avoid overeating. Eat only 85% of feeling full.

G) Avoid refined carbohydrates – the “whites” – white sugar, white flour, white rice, and alcohol is in that category.

H) Avoid food additives as much as possible (color, preservatives, antioxidants, BHT, etc.)

I) Avoid aluminum cookware. You can leach out that, especially into acid foods. It’s a toxic metal.

J) If there is significant exposure to heavy metals such as lead, mercury, aluminum, arsenic, or cadmium, a hair analysis should be done to determine if contamination has occurred.

K) Some general supplementation is probably necessary, especially if you are not healthy or under stress.

L) Eat in quiet surroundings, chew your food well, at least 30 times per mouthful, take your time. This will greatly aid in digestion and assimilation of food.

M) Plan a periodic cleansing; the change of the seasons is an appropriate opportunity.

N) Suspect dairy products as possible problem foods.

O) Vegetarian diets, although a wonderful idea, are not suitable for everyone.

P) 6 to 8 glasses of good quality water should be drunk each day. This means spring water in glass bottles or distilled water with a few drops of lemon or sea salt added

Q) Cultivate a serene attitude towards life. Give thanks for the food you are privileged to eat.
